Tap Relay — Last updated May 26, 2026

TL;DR

Tap Relay processes button presses locally on your device and forwards them to the webhook URL you configure. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Tap Relay is designed to operate with minimal data. Here is exactly what the app handles:

2. Information We Do Not Collect

3. How Data Flows

When you press your Flic button, the app constructs a JSON payload and sends it via HTTPS POST to the webhook URL you configured. The payload contains:

This data goes directly from your device to your webhook endpoint. It does not pass through any servers we operate.

4. On-Device Storage

Button event history is stored locally using SwiftData and is never uploaded. Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain with afterFirstUnlock accessibility to support background operation. You can clear all stored data from the Settings screen in the app.

5. Bluetooth & Camera Permissions

Bluetooth is required to communicate with your Flic 2 button. The app uses Core Bluetooth state restoration to maintain the connection in the background.

Camera is used only for scanning QR codes during provisioning. No images or video are stored or transmitted.

6. Third-Party SDKs

The app includes the Flic 2 SDK (flic2lib) for Bluetooth button communication. This SDK operates locally and does not transmit data to Flic's servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Tap Relay does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
